Join us for a two-day event at Grace Episcopal Church in Silver Spring, as we highlight the importance and necessity of Sacred Music through "A Sacred Music Festival" themed EPIC. Through this festival, our goal is to:

• Educate the community about messages of faith, hope, and love through sacred music
• Preserve the music that carries these messages
• Inspire the heart of people from all walks of life 
• Create lasting and impactful musical experiences with artists, musicians, and other communities.

Sacred Music Festival Day ONE:

Friday @ 730pm - 

A Sacred Music Recital

Come and experience a Sacred Music Vocal Recital presented by Dr. Andrew Smith, Jouelle Roberson, and Dr. Elizabeth Hill.  At this recital, you will hear Brahms' Vier ernste Gesänge and John Carter's Cantata, along with a set of spiritual arrangements.  

Sacred Music Festival Day TWO:

Saturday @ 2pm -

The Edward Jackson Sacred Music Competition, named in honor of tenor, educator, and choral conductor Edward Jackson, provides the opportunity for singers to present arias and songs with sacred themes, including but not limited to spirituals, gospel, contemporary worship songs, and hymns, as well as pieces from oratorios, cantatas, masses, and requiems. 

This competition is free and open to the public!

Satruday @ 6pm -

To close out the festival, Heather Adelsberger and Ronald Walton III will be presenting sacred music on the organ. You will hear organ music by J.S. Bach set to well-known hymns and spiritual arrangements by Hailstork and Phillip McIntyre, among others.
