An die Musik Concert Series:
Edward Jackson Sacred Music Winner's Recital

In our last edition of the An die Musik Concert Series this season, we will present the winner of the 2025 Edward Jackson Sacred Music Competition, Mr. Edward Washington II, tenor.
Come join us for an evening of beautiful music as we bring a close to our recital season and prepare for what comes next! This event is free and open to the public.
Martin Luther King Jr. Opera Workshop Project

Everett Williams Jr., who has been in the DC area for many years has written an opera about Martin Luther King Jr. This opera was written over 30 years ago and has never been heard in its' entirety. As a part of the Preservation Project, ASMITHMUSIC is producing an open reading of this work for the first time.
This will be an open reading, meaning that this is a work in progress. We will read through sections of the opera with DC area soloists and a small ensemble,
The event is free and open to the public and it is our hope that with the support of the community, that we can move this work into the next stage, which would include consulting with librettists and a chamber orchestra.
Dr. King's message of hope, freedom, and justice still rings true today. Come and hear the postive message through music as we explore what Everett has created in an open forum.
Arts Access Admission
In an effort to increase community accessibility for our events, we are launching the Arts Access Admission ticket. This admission ticket will be discounted for students in school and for Seniors 65+. To fulfill the conditions of Arts Access, you must provide proof of schooling with a school ID, or age, via a government-issued ID. This will only need to be verified once, as you will receive an Arts Access Card after the initial showing.
